Happy Friday!
Please remember, we have an occasional day on Monday so I will see
you all on Tuesday 5th July.
The children looked fantastic and thoroughly
enjoyed our Florence Nightingale day. A big thank you for the parents
who helped during the day, below are some photos taken throughout the day.
Next week
English – the children will plan their own myth story.
Maths – to create a variety of repeating
patterns.
RE- we will discuss and sequence the
Christian, Jewish and Hindu creation story.
Science – the children will create a
food chain to show how animals get their food.
Next Friday the Year 6 children will be running their annual
Apprentice event. This means that the children of Year 6 have made products or
have services to sell to the children. All the money they raise will be going
to a Cancer Research. If you would like your child to be able to buy some of
the Year 6's products, please send your child in with cash on Friday. All
products cost between 50p-£2. Children are allowed to buy multiple products.
[There will be some temporary tattoos available, if this is an issue for your
child please do let me know].
Friday is also the PTA Break the Rules Day.
The next sharing assembly is on Monday 11th July for
Leo M, Hugo and Grace.
Spellings for next Friday are:
Group 1 – there, have, like, were (these were last weeks but quite
a few children struggled with them)
Group 2 – sugar, eye, could, should, would, who
Group 3 – whole, any, many, clothes
Have a fun long weekend
From the Year 2 team
