Friday, 6 February 2026

Good afternoon everyone,

In English, the children have completed their detailed non-chronological reports on Bears, which are now displayed in the classroom.

Next week, the children will be creating danger posters and character descriptions based on our class text, The Minpins.

In Maths, the children have been learning to group objects and were introduced to division. Next week, they will continue this learning by making equal groups, grouping and sharing, and learning to divide by 2.

In Computing next week, the children will create and debug a program that they have written themselves.

In Science next week, the children will describe the importance of eating the right amounts of food by exploring different food groups.

Next week is Mental Health and Wellbeing Week. We will be taking part in a variety of activities, including lessons linked to Safer Internet Day.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to attend the workshop at Christ Church. This will be rearranged for later in the year.

Spellings for Friday:

Group 1: all, ball, small, wall

Group 2: patting, patted, humming, hummed, dropping, dropped, sadder, saddest, runner, runny.
