 Hello to all! 

Firstly, as I am sure you will all agree, the children did amazing at their assembly today, well done everyone!

The children enjoyed ‘World book day’ and their costumes were fantastic, please see photos below. 





Next week

It is science week and the children will complete various activities and take park in a workshop.

In English, we will continue on our ‘Wanted poster’ based on ‘15 Things not to do with a puppy’.

In maths, we will start our new topic on length and height.

In geography, we will locate some to the world’s most famous places.

 

Spellings for Friday are:

Group 1 – can, are, up, had

Group 2 – fly, flies, cry, cries, baby, babies, reply, replies

Group 3 – story, stories, memory, memories

Hello everyone!

The children thoroughly enjoyed the Great Fire of London workshop; they looked fantastic in their costumes as you can see below.











































Reminder on Friday is our class assembly this will start at 9 o’clock in the hall.

Next week

English - we will continue on our class book ‘15 things not to do with a puppy’ and the children will create a wanted poster for a friend which will include verbs, suffixes and connectives.

Maths -  we will finish our topic on multiplication and division using 2, 5 and 10 and complete our end of topic assessment.

Geography -  we will start our new topic on ‘Life in the city’. We will start with identifying the geographical characteristics of the UK and locate some of the world’s most amazing places.

RE -  we will discuss the celebration of Shabbat.

PSHE -  we will discuss healthy lifestyle choices and learn ideas on how to relax.

Art -  the children will learn about the artist Pablo Picasso.

Group 1 – now, came, about, got

Group 2 – careful, careless, fearful, fearless, happy, happily, happiness

Group 3 – colour, colourful, colourless, neatest, greatest, oldest.

Happy half term and hooray the sun is shining!

The children looked fantastic with their crazy hair; I hope you enjoy the pictures below.





Please find below a brief outline of the topics the children will be covering over the next term.

 English

We will be reading the story ’15 things not to do with a puppy’. The children will create posters of ideas of what not to do and should do for your teacher! The children will learn commands, apostrophe for contraction and recap suffixes.

 Maths

Continuing our topic on multiplication and division then we will at start a new topic on length, height, capacity and temperature.

 Science

Animals including humans continued.

 Geography

Life in the city.

 PSHE

Healthy me.

 RE

The Lord’s Prayer, The Easter Story, Shabbat and Passover.

 ICT

Decoding, create a power point and record using an iPad.

Art:

Pablo Picasso, the children will research the artist and recreate one of the paintings by cutting shapes with coloured card.

Reminder – Great Fire of London workshop is on Wednesday 28th February. Please could the children dress up, here are some ideas:

Boys – plain t-shirt (with or without a collar) a belt or cord around the waist, plain waistcoat and flat cap (if you have one) and school trousers tucked in their socks.

Girls – plain white shirt with a collar, long plain skirt or dress (black, brown or dark blue), a plain waistcoat (if you have one), an apron or use a white pillowcase and for their head white material tied around their head to hide the hair.

 

Home Learning – the children can choose a country to research and write some facts on the following: their capital city, language, surrounding countries, someone famous, a famous landmark and any other facts if they wish to. An A4 or A3 size would be perfect, as I would like these to be displayed in the classroom.

Please could their home learning be completed by Friday 22nd March.
