Good afternoon all!
The children have completed numerous English and maths activities consolidating their topics taught so far. 
We had science week and the children have enjoyed many STEM activities – which I’m sure they’ve shared with you. They particularly enjoyed the CSI forensic workshop.

Thank you, Mrs Prime, for spending time with the children and explaining the growth of babies. The children liked listening to their heartbeat.

Next week in English, we will practise for our class assembly which is on Friday at 9 am.

In maths, the children will learn to double and halve numbers along with identifying and describing the properties of 2D and 3D shapes.

Good afternoon to all,
We have had a fun week especially with celebrating World Book Day, the children's costumes were amazing and they thoroughly enjoyed dressing up and reading their books.








In English, the children created a 'Wanted Poster' to find a friend.
Next week, we will be looking at comprehension questions and preparing for our class assembly.

In maths, the children have been learning to tell the time: o'clock, quarter past, quarter to, half past and counting in 5 minutes.
Next week, we will complete activities on all topics taught this year.

Next week is also science week and the children will be completing a daily science challenge.

Spellings for next Friday are:
Group 1: their, people, your, put.
Group 2: wasp, swap, swan, squash, wander, wallet, watching.
Group 3: squabble, qualify, swallow, aquarium.

Workbook pages for Thursday are:
English pages 16 and 17.
Maths pages 13 and 14.

Good afternoon everyone, we have had another very busy, fun week back.

In English, we read the story ’15 things not to do with a puppy’. The children created posters of ideas of what not to do and should do for your teacher! The children also learnt commands, apostrophe for contraction and suffixes.
Next week, we will continue looking at our class book, 15 Things not to do with a puppy, the children will create a poster advertising for a new friend. They will include suffixes, apostrophes and conjunctions along with practising forming their letters correctly.

In maths, the children carried out numerous problem-solving activities using different methods to answer the questions.
Next week, the children will be telling the time to: o'clock, half past, quarter past and to. They will also practise to become fluent in the 2, 5 and 10 multiplication table.

Please could the children also complete the following pages in their workbooks by Thursday.
English pages 14 and 15.
Maths pages 11 and 12.

School reports will be taken home today. You can make comments on Gateway if you wish to.

Please remember it is World Book Day on Thursday, children can come to school in their favourite book character along with the book if they have one.

Good afternoon to all.
We had an amazing Great Fire of London day on Thursday. I would like to particularly thank all our helpers for their time and support, we really could not have completed all the activities without you. The children carried out numerous tasks including role play and learnt a lot of exciting facts. The children all looked fantastic and were extremely well behaved. Please see below some photos the majority will be displayed on the wall in the classroom.




















On Tuesday afternoon we are going to the snow centre and hope to be back at school around 3.40 pm. The children will come to school in school uniform and change into their snow clothes at lunchtime.

Group 2: fattest, saddest, hummed, running, clapped, patted.
Group 3: suddenly, slipped, runny, honey.
