The children have settled back into routine and enjoyed
writing about one of their favourite days during the Easter holiday.
Next week
In English, the children will look at comprehension and grammar. We will also recap punctuation, commas, adjectives,
apostrophes and conjunctions.
In maths, the children will be learning fractions. They will
find halves, quarters, thirds and three-quarters of a shape and amount.
In science, the children will label the parts of a plant and
tree in detail.
In history, the children will find out who Florence
Nightingale was and where she lived.
In RE, the children will look at faith stories.
In PSHE, the children will discuss how to solve friendship problems
when they occur.
In D&T this term the topic is mechanisms. The children
will design, create and evaluate a moving vehicle which will include wheels and
axles.
If you have any small cardboard boxes at home,
please could your child bring them into school for their moving vehicle.
School jotter – today I have sent the children home with a
letter about Little Heath’s new app, School Jotter. This is a free app that has
all the important information in one place. The letter contains your username
and password to use this app. Should you have any questions, please contact the
school office and they will be happy to help.
Smile! Whole class photos will be next Tuesday 30th
April.
All clubs will start again next week.
Spellings for next Friday are:
Group 1: feel, heel, fuel, hole, pole.
Group 2: middle, camel, bottle, paddle, tunnel, apple, squirrel,
angle, little, circle, female, people, double.
Have a great weekend
