The children had an amazing, fun day at Go-Ape.

Happy Friday everyone! 

The children had a very fun Florence Nightingale workshop on Tuesday. The people delivering the workshop commented on how much knowledge the children already had and that their behaviour was exceptional – well done everyone!

 

















Next week

English – the children will be finishing their narratives on ‘The Dragon Machine’ and we will start our new book on ‘Toys in Space’ by Mini Grey.

Maths – our new topic is on time. The children will learn the o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to.

Home learning – please ask your children periodically the time to support their learning. Thank you.

D&T – the children will create their moving vehicle from the chassis to designing and decorating their vehicle.

Reminder  - Tuesday we are going to Go-Ape and aim to leave at 8.45am.

Please could the children bring in a pack lunch with no fizzy drinks.  All children must be wearing suitable clothing and footwear for their adventure. Along with a waterproof jacket/coat depending on the weather.

 Spelling for next Friday are:

 Good afternoon to all!

We had a lovely, fun picnic on VE Day! The children especially enjoyed creating their own bunting and learning about the joyful excitement people felt when World War II ended in Europe.
















Next week:

  • English – We will be writing a narrative based on the children’s own versions of The Dragon Machine.

  • Maths – We’ll continue our topic on fractions, focusing on recognising three-quarters and whole numbers.

  • Science – We will be discussing life cycles.

  • RE – We’ll be exploring faith stories.

Reminder: On Tuesday morning, we have a workshop on Florence Nightingale.
