Happy Friday!

The swimming pool is up and running and the children are thoroughly enjoying their swimming lessons with their friends.

The children have all worked extremely hard on all their topics this week, well done everyone!

In English, the children enjoyed listening to our class book ‘The dragon machine’ and created sentences with noun phrases, commas and conjunctions.

Next week, the children will identify verbs, use adverbs along with writing sentences, which will include suffixes –ment and –ness.

In maths, the children have solved numerous fractions using half, quarters, thirds and a whole of an amount and shape.

Next week, we will continue our topic on fractions and discuss the equivalence of a half and two quarters and three-quarters.

Next week

History – to continue to discuss how Florence Nightingale improved the conditions at the Scutari hospital.

Science – the children will plant and observe various seeds and bulbs.

ICT – the children are very much enjoying our topic on digital music, please see below a few photos taken this week.

D&T – to continue to design their moving vehicle. Reminder - Please could your children bring in any small cardboard boxes to use for their vehicle.
