Hello all, we have had another busy productive week in Year
2.
In science, the children enjoyed planting their vegetable seeds
and sunflower seeds. The children also drew and labelled the parts of plants
and trees.
Next week, the children will role play and draw the life
cycle of plants.
In English, the children created sentences with subordinate
conjunctions and made a list of adjectives, nouns, adverbs and verbs. Together
we completed a previous sats paper to practise.
Next week, the children will learn suffixes, prefixes and
plurals.
In maths, the children completed numerous activities centred
on fractions.
Next week, the children will be describing 2D and 3D shapes.
Spellings for next Friday are:
Group 1: toy, girl, play, drew.
Group 2: third, beam, knock, whole, game. Flight, glow,
flute, brushes, reception, enjoyment, bleach, yourself, loudly, sky, my, phone,

Enjoy the bank holiday weekend, I hope the weather improves!
