Good afternoon to all!
We have had a very busy, fun week.
In English the children have enjoyed
reading and discussing the book ‘The Owl who is afraid of the dark’. They have
created a sense poem and written a good memory that they could remember in the
dark.
Next week, we will together read and
discuss the next two chapters and the children will write about something
exciting that happens at night time.
In maths, we will continue our topic
on fractions, learning ¾ as an amount and using shapes and also ½, 2/4
equivalence in shape.
In science, we will complete our
sunflower booklet and plant beans and place them in various places to compare
growth.
In history, the children will write
up their facts which they had learnt from last week on why Florence Nightingale
went Scutari and what the hospital conditions were like.
In RE – we will discuss showing
care and concern and faith stories
In PSHE - the children will
discuss relationships within a group of friends
In D&T - the children
will start to create their moving vehicle.
If you have any small
cardboard boxes at home, please could your child bring them into school for
their moving vehicle.
