Hello all!
The children were extremely creative
with their moving vehicles and are looking forward to racing them. Unfortunately,
due to the weather today we have postponed this event until next week!
In English the children enjoyed creating their own character and writing a detailed story using descriptive language along with connectives and correct punctuation based on Baboon on the moon .
In maths
the children solved lots of problems using fractions.
Next week, will be centred on the
Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
In English, the children will create
poems on the Queen, write a time line of her key events and write a message for
our time capsule.
In maths, the children will be
learning the time to the nearest 5 minutes including quarter past/to the hour.
Within our art lessons, the children
will design a plate and create a flag.
Friday is a non-uniform day. The
children should wear red, white and blue to help celebrate the Queen's Jubilee
at Little Heath. I hope to see you all on Friday afternoon for the
Jubilee celebrations. Just to remind you it is not a picnic, so please do not
bring food. There will be, however, some drinks refreshments to buy. The
celebrations will be on the field so I would recommend bringing a blanket or
something to sit on.
Reminder – sharing assembly is on
Monday for Bella, Samuel, Henry, Freya, Aisha and Fatima.
Spellings for Friday are:
was, you, they, on, she
word, work, worm, world, worth, wheel
worse, wriggled, winner, worthless.
Have a great weekend
From the Year 2 team
