Happy Friday!
First
of all, a huge well done to the children for their fantastic assembly today—I’m
sure you’ll all agree they did an amazing job!
In
maths, we will be wrapping up our topic on measurement, focusing on capacity
and temperature. The children will engage in activities measuring grams and
kilograms, as well as comparing volume and capacity using millilitres.
In
English, we will begin our new class book, The Owl and the Pussy-cat by
Edward Lear and Charlotte Voake. The children will work on using subordinating
conjunctions to make predictions, create noun phrases for a list, and write a
letter incorporating contractions.
For
geography, the children will sketch a map of the KS2 playground, identifying
both human and physical features. They will also explore local habitats, record
their observations, and present their findings in a bar chart.
A
reminder that on Monday morning, it is sharing assembly for a few children also
later on in the morning we will be watching the KS2 performance.
