Hello to all!

This week in English, the children have enjoyed learning about the importance of our Earth. We discussed some of the problems our planet faces and explored possible solutions. The children will use this knowledge to create an informative leaflet, making sure to include conjunctions, question marks and exclamation marks in their writing.

In maths, the children took part in a range of activities to strengthen their understanding on adding and subtracting tens to two-digit numbers. They also practised solving addition and subtraction problems finding the missing number. Next week, we will begin our new topic on 2-D and 3-D shapes.

Next week

Geography – Research the coldest places on Earth.

Science – Exploring sculptures and the materials used to make them.

RE – Continue to learn about how Hanukah is celebrated.

PSHE – Taking part in Anti-bullying week. Please remember to wear odd socks on Monday!

ICT – Learning about digital photography, focusing on landscape and portrait images.

D&T – Designing and creating a hand puppet.

We would like to invite all parents and carers to attend a Cyber Safety Presentation led by the Police team next Wednesday between 2:00pm and 3:00pm. The presentation will offer valuable, practical advice on protecting yourself, your family and your data online. It will also explain how parents can help children make safe and responsible choices when using technology.
