Good afternoon, everyone!

We have had another very busy week, and all the children have worked extremely hard. Well done, everyone!

Next Week

English
The children will plan and begin writing a narrative based on a familiar story. They will focus on using adjectives to make their writing more interesting, as well as developing neat handwriting and forming their letters correctly.

Maths
The children will practise counting in 2s, 3s, 5s and 10s. They will also develop their understanding of addition and subtraction by solving number facts within 20.

Science
The children will explore how different objects are made and investigate how some materials can be changed by squashing, bending, twisting and stretching. They will carry out a practical experiment to help them understand these changes.

RE
The children will explore Christian religious symbols and discuss their meanings.

History

We will also continue reading and discussing the school logbook from 1945, which the children have been thoroughly enjoying. They have particularly enjoyed comparing school life in the past with their experiences of school today.

Spellings

This week's spellings are:

of, it, was, you, face, race, space, cell, city, circle

We look forward to another busy and exciting week of learning!

Have a lovely weekend!
