Good afternoon, everyone!
The children have worked incredibly hard again this week. Well done, Year 2!
We are very proud of their efforts and all they have achieved.
Next week’s learning
English – We will be starting our new book, Dear Earth
by Isabel Otter and Clara Anganuzzi. The children will be writing a set of
instructions and recording factual information about their chosen animals.
Maths – We will be practising different methods to solve
calculations involving 10 more and 10 less, adding and subtracting multiples of
10.
PSHE – Our focus will be on working well with others. The
children will learn how to cooperate effectively and support one another.
Computing – The children will use iPads to research the
animals they have chosen during our English lessons.
History – We will be writing a recount of our upcoming
visit to Hitchin’s British Schools Museum.
Important reminder
On Wednesday, we will be going on our class trip to Hitchin’s British
Schools Museum, and both the children and staff are very excited!
Please ensure your child brings a packed lunch for the
trip. As a reminder, we are a nut-free school, so please do not include any
nuts or nut-containing products. We also ask that you avoid fizzy drinks and
glass bottles. Thank you for your support!
Spellings for Friday are:
kind, mind, they, said, door, floor, again, children, climb, most
We hope you all have a lovely weekend!
