Happy Friday to all!
The children all looked amazing in their World Book Day costumes
yesterday! It was wonderful to see them so full of excitement. They also enjoyed
their workshop with the poet Stewart Henderson, who shared some of his amusing
poems and spoke about his career and how he comes up with his ideas.
Next week
In English,
the children will write their own story centred on our class book The Minpins.
The children will change the main character, monster and setting.
In maths, we
will continue our new topic on length and height. The children will be
completing activities on measuring in grams and kilograms.
Reminder
Year 1 &
2 trip to Hertfordshire Zoo- Tuesday 10th March.
Please ensure
your child wears their school uniform and trainers for comfort. Don’t forget to
pack a lunch in a plastic carrier bag (no nuts, fizzy drinks, or glass bottles,
please).
On Thursday,
we have a science workshop in the afternoon.
