Hello everyone!
We had an amazing and fun-filled day
at Hertfordshire Zoo. The children learned lots of interesting facts and had a
wonderful time exploring and seeing the animals. They thoroughly enjoyed the
whole experience and it was lovely to see their excitement throughout the day.
A big thank you to all the parents
who helped and supported us during the trip – your help made the day run
smoothly and was greatly appreciated.
Below is a few of the photos taken.
Next
week, our English lessons will focus on rehearsing for your class assembly,
which takes place on Friday.
In maths, we will be continuing our topic on measurement,
focusing on capacity and temperature. The children will engage in activities
measuring grams and kilograms, as well as comparing volume and capacity using
millilitres.
In geography, the children will sketch a map of the KS2
playground, identifying both human and physical features. They will also
explore local habitats, record their observations, and present their findings
in a bar chart.
On Tuesday morning, we have a Passover virtual broadcast.
We finished the week with a wonderful Science workshop for
Science week. The children loved watching the demonstrations and carrying out their
own experiments.
Spellings for next Friday are:
Group 1 – your, into, out, when.
Group 2 – word, work, worm, world, worth, worst, war, warm, towards,
ward.
Reminder –
Year 2 class assembly on Friday at 9 am.
Also, on Friday, it is Red Nose Day, the children can wear non-uniform and bring in their noses.
Have a great weekend.
From the Year 2 team.
