This has been a strange week, but the children have been amazing carrying on with all the lessons as normal.

Please log on to Year Two's work box on the website. I hope you enjoy the activities we have set for you. I will be marking them at the end of each week.
Please continue to look at the website for any updates and do not hesitate to communicate with me through email.

Good afternoon all!
The children have completed numerous English and maths activities consolidating their topics taught so far. 
We had science week and the children have enjoyed many STEM activities – which I’m sure they’ve shared with you. They particularly enjoyed the CSI forensic workshop.

Thank you, Mrs Prime, for spending time with the children and explaining the growth of babies. The children liked listening to their heartbeat.

Next week in English, we will practise for our class assembly which is on Friday at 9 am.

In maths, the children will learn to double and halve numbers along with identifying and describing the properties of 2D and 3D shapes.

Good afternoon to all,
We have had a fun week especially with celebrating World Book Day, the children's costumes were amazing and they thoroughly enjoyed dressing up and reading their books.








In English, the children created a 'Wanted Poster' to find a friend.
Next week, we will be looking at comprehension questions and preparing for our class assembly.

In maths, the children have been learning to tell the time: o'clock, quarter past, quarter to, half past and counting in 5 minutes.
Next week, we will complete activities on all topics taught this year.

Next week is also science week and the children will be completing a daily science challenge.

Spellings for next Friday are:
Group 1: their, people, your, put.
Group 2: wasp, swap, swan, squash, wander, wallet, watching.
Group 3: squabble, qualify, swallow, aquarium.
