Good afternoon,
What a
wonderful start to the day we had! The children sang beautifully, and it was
lovely to see so many of you at our Harvest Coffee Morning. Thank you for
joining us and making it such a special morning.
Next Week’s Learning
English – The children will be writing a
persuasive piece as part of a campaign about endangered animals. We will also
begin our new class book, Dear Earth by Isabel Otter and Clara
Anganuzzi. The children will discuss their dreams and wishes for the future and
write a set of instructions, using conjunctions to join their ideas.
Maths – We will continue learning
about fact families and extend our understanding of number bonds to 100. The
children will also practise adding and subtracting using 1s.
Home
Learning – If
possible, please continue to practise number bonds to 10 and 20 with your
child.
Art – The children will experiment
with different craft techniques to develop and create their own ideas.
Computing – We will explore the benefits
of using IT in the wider world and how it can help us in our everyday lives.
Science – The children will gather a
variety of materials and compare their suitability for different purposes.
